Event Space

 

Please Note – Due to necessary repair works to the external wall of our Event Space, part of the Event Space has been sectioned off. This has reduced the useable space of the room by approximately one third. The stage, dance floor and sofa areas of the room remain useable, but the top of the room (the Peace Flame area) is blocked off. Some sightlines for the stage and dance floor area are also restricted.

The Event Space is our largest and most versatile room, with beautiful rustic timber flooring, exposed brickwork, and large windows over the Mill Stream that look towards the Somerset Levels. It’s also home to our gorgeous Peace Flame area; totally unique to the Red Brick Building.

The Event Space is kitted out with a stage, professional PA sound system and stage lights, making it the perfect venue for gigs and private parties. The unique shape of the room lends itself well to breakout spaces, and our comfy sofas and coffee tables give the room a charming, relaxed character.

The Event Space’s flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of bookings. Popular uses of the room include:

  • Large meetings and conferences
  • Public drop-in events and coffee mornings
  • Private lunches
  • Gigs and live music events
  • Live Theatre
  • Private parties

The Event Space is 2000 square foot in size and, as with all of our rooms, it’s fitted with a hearing loop and comes with access to our WiFi. Located on the ground floor, the room is fully accessible. Disabled toilets are also located on the ground floor.

Theatre Style Seating: 80 – 100 people (currently 60 – 70 people)
Tables and Chairs: 50 people (currently 30 – 40 people)
Standing-Only Event: 350 people (currently 250 people)

Mondays: 9am – 5pm
Tuesdays – Thursdays: 9am – 10pm
Fridays – Saturdays: 9am – 12.30am
Sundays: 9.30am – 5pm

All hire times must include any setup and clear up times.

 

Catering and Refreshments

If you need any catering or refreshments during your booking, this will need to be booked with The Old Tannery; the restaurant based at the Red Brick Building.

The Old Tannery can cater for a wide range of budgets and food preferences, and will gladly supply you with sample catering menus on request.

As such, we ask all hirers to support our community ethos and thereby kindly request they leave the room clean and tidy, and clear away any used furniture and equipment after their booking.
