A Somerset Legacy

70th Anniversary Exhibition

The Somerset Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers was established by Misses Biddulph and Dickinson in 1949. Known as ‘the Quantock Weavers’, their legacy is marked by this exhibition of members’ work.

All visitors are welcome to watch and try out some of the following skills:

• Spindle spinning
• Pin loom weaving
• Rigid heddle weaving
• Wheel spinning
• Braiding
• Tapestry weaving

All the pieces in the exhibition are hand-crafted. Prices will be clearly marked on any pieces that are for sale. There will be additional items for sale in an exhibition shop, including starter kits for those wishing to go further having tried out a skill in the demonstration area.

Stewards will be happy to answer any questions.
