In this talk leading on from Euphonics and Grammar we will examine the fundamentals of poetic metre and form, building up from the iambic de-dum used by Shakespeare to the paeonic de-de-dum-de used by Julia Donaldson.
We will explore lines of tetrameter, pentameter and octameter and then put everything together to form some ballads, sonnets and sestinas.
A rare and fascinating evening for all poets, somgwriters, lyricists & orators.
