Mendip Lantern Parade – Celebrating Democracy for Women.

It will be 100 years since the signing of the Representation of the People Act which allowed (some) women over the age of 30 to vote (it was another 10 years before all women over 21 were allowed to vote – but it was a start!)

We will be hosting 2 workshops at the Red Brick Building to build our lanterns from local willow on the 27^th of January 10 a.m. – 1p.m. and then finishing off (if needed) on the 4^th February 1-3p.m..  Cost £5 to cover materials.

Then at 6 p.m. on the 6^th of February we will be meeting outside the White Spring by the Chalice Well then walking up Glastonbury Tor with our lanterns.

We are hoping that there will be some special guests so watch this page for more details.

These events are for everybody so please bring children, partners, family, friends – the more the merrier!
