Our Event Space offers an atmospheric backdrop for wedding breakfasts, receptions and parties.
Complete with stage, lighting and professional PA sound system, it’s the perfect place to enjoy your first dance and after party with a live band or DJ.
The room is wonderfully versatile, and you are welcome to decorate it to make the space totally personal to you.
Our gorgeous Peace Flame area adds a special touch to your celebrations; completely unique to the Red Brick Building.
With its beautiful exposed brickwork and rustic timber floor, the Red Brick Building’s heritage shines through to create a space with character, charm and vintage beauty.
What’s included in the price?
Reception costs include optional use of:
- PA Soundsystem and microphones
- Stage lights
- Projector and screen

- 4 sofas and 4 coffee tables
Event Space Capacity
Seated Reception: 88 people, based on 8 people seated at the Top Table, plus 8 additional round tables seating 10 people each. (N.B. Due to the shape of the room, at least one of these tables will not have a view of the Top Table)
Non-Seated Reception: 150 – 200 people
Maximum Capacity (Standing-Only): 350 people
Any catering or refreshments you’re planning to have will need to be booked with The Old Tannery; the fabulous restaurant and bar based at the Red Brick Building. The Old Tannery’s team are highly experienced in catering for a wide range of food preferences, dietary requirements and budgets.

Tables and Chairs
When it comes to tables and chairs for your reception, we have a number of options available depending on your style preference and budget:
Use our rustic wooden tables and chairs at no extra cost
We have a limited collection of assorted rustic wooden tables and chairs, which are available at no extra cost for smaller weddings.
Hire our larger tables at an additional cost
We have large round tables (seating up to 10 people each), which can be hired at an additional cost. Prices can be found towards the bottom of this page.
Hire in specialist occasion chairs
If you prefer to hire in your own choice of chairs, we recommend Themes Inc., who offer a wide range of chairs and covers.
Tablecloths are hired through The Old Tannery as part of their catering arrangements.
Non-exclusive use of our covered terrace (just outside The Old Tannery) is free. Please note that members of the public use this terrace during the restaurant’s opening hours.
For receptions where a band or DJ will be performing, and/or there will be more than 100 people attending, there is an additional cost of £85 to cover the provision of security.
The Red Brick Building is available for your celebrations during the following times:
Mondays: 9am – 11pm (for receptions with 50 people or more) / 9am – 5pm (for receptions with fewer than 50 people)
Tuesdays: 9am – 11pm
Wednesdays: 9am – 11pm
Thursdays: 9am – 11pm
Fridays: 9am – 12.30am
Saturdays: 9am – 12.30am
Sundays: 9am – 11pm (for receptions with 50 people or more) / 9am – 5pm (for receptions with fewer than 50 people)
Please note: The Red Brick Building is not open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.
