WHAT:

Art and Mindfulness at the Red Brick

‘I run courses across the county and the Red Brick Building is my favourite venue’ said teacher Ceri Louise Morton Thomas who has just completed another successful Art and Mindfulness course in the venue attended by 14 students.  ‘The room is bright and spacious, and the staff are always helpful and friendly’.

The course, sponsored by Somerset Skills and Learning, has taught students how to practice mindfulness ‘a meditation technique that has the power to transform your life for the better’ says Ceri Louise. Students on the course learn key mindful practices including the most popular meditation of all, the chocolate meditation which involves eating delicious chocolate mindfully.

The students are also encouraged to explore their creativity, have fun and overcome limitations imposed by their ‘inner critic’. Feedback from the course has been excellent. Cath commented that she had ‘loved the course. Ceri creates a safe place to experiment’ and Eve said ‘the course is wonderful. It is non-judgemental and supportive and it has really inspired me’

The next Art and Mindfulness course begins on Thursday 2nd March at the Wild Rose Centre 10am to 3pm and runs for 4 weeks finishing 23rd March, the course is FREE (although there is a small charge for materials).
