Venus, our sister planet, draws a beautiful five-petalled rose pattern in space around us every eight years. This remarkable dance is composed of five heart-shaped movements, each consisting of an inferior and superior conjunction to the sun, five of each of which then form two pentagrams in the zodiac over the eight years.

At this innovative and exciting event John Martineau and John Wadsworth will mix illustrated lectures with practical workshops to consider the geometric, harmonic, astronomical and astrological significance of the Dance of Venus, and of the wider implications of what Venus can teach us about how to live in harmony with nature, and with one another.  With Venusian principles in mind – harmony, beauty and truth – we can re-envision relationships, restructure communities and renew the economy.

John Martineau Biog

John Martineau is the publisher of the international award-winning Wooden Books liberal arts series. Author of A Little Book of Coincidence in the Solar System, he is currently writing a book on the Anthropic Principle and the Fine Tuning Problem.

John Wadsworth Biog

John Wadsworth is a professional astrologer and runs the Kairos School of Astrology.  He holds an MA in Cultural Astronomy from Bath Spa University and is the founder of The Alchemical Journey, a zodiacal mystery school working with The Glastonbury Zodiac.  He also teaches night-sky astronomy and runs a mobile planetarium for schools.
