The Art of Sarah Slaughter

Email: artofsarahslaughter@gmail.com

Location: Artisan Studio

Sarah paints in watercolour and acrylic and enjoys splashes of colour which produce bright backgrounds for her subtler subjects. Her signature subject matter is Motherhood. As a mother of two young children, the process of pregnancy, birthing and bonding with a child is depicted in many of her paintings. She sees this as a healing process for her birth journeys. Sarah also enjoys painting skyscapes, especially capturing sunsets and moonrises over local landscapes.

As well as painting, Sarah sculpts with air dry clay and creates imaginative glassware wrapped with semi-precious gems and glass beads.  Some of her glass designs can be found in Glastonbury at the gallery of Linda Ravenscroft, The Mystic Garden.

You can support Sarah’s art journey through Patreon, where she shares blogs and behind the scenes activities from her art studio. For enquiries or commissions, please contact artofsarahslaughter@gmail.com

Sarah’s work is available to view on her Facebook and Instagram pages. Her work is available to purchase on Etsy.

Working from the Artisan Studio at the Red Brick Building has been the best experience for me as a creative mother. Working around other creatives has helped to bring me out of isolation and the bright spacious studio has provided me with a fabulous environment to focus on my art.
