Paul lives in Glastonbury and has carried out design work for local businesses and has broadcast as an art critic for BBC Radio Bristol. His paintings follow a mainstream British romantic influence based on nature and the countryside. He has been working as an artist in residence on some of the archaeological excavations in Somerset. Recently he was at the English Heritage work on the St Bridgit Mound site near the Red Brick Building. His aim is to draw the archaeologists and the site as they work. He is the first artist to do this sort of drawing on any site, although artists, in the past, have produced imagined views of the site as it was in the past, and also drawings of the ‘finds’. He is hoping to have an exhibition of the drawings and paintings in 2017.
