We take part in Work Experience Week offering opportunities to students from local schools. Ours is a week of experiences – you won’t be simply filing or shadowing a worker to see what they do.
Tenants and supporters of the building run mentoring workshops on a wide range of multi-media activities including photography, film making, music producing, broadcasting, journalism, graphic design and social media. This provides the pupils with an opportunity to get involved in activities and learn new skills. All the mentors are very successful in their own trades and have years of experience. They run the workshops as volunteers giving something back to their community.
At the end of the week pupils go away with a better idea of a social enterprise and the wider opportunities available to them after school.
If you are interested in work experience at the Red Brick Building please ask your careers adviser to contact Katherine at email@example.com
